5 secret menus of The Drag revealed

Two people sit in a restaurant eating.

As students walk down Guadalupe St. from Martin Luther King Blvd., they are faced with the daunting decision of where to eat. Bright signs and lights pulling their attention in every direction, The Drag is truly the Las Vegas of food for any UT student.

However, after some time, the longing for discovery that was once had is now lost. In an effort to spice up the menus on Guadalupe, some of these businesses provide secret menus, and others cater to unique customer creations. Here are five of the best secret menu restaurants on The Drag.

Domino’s: The Super Lot Pizza

This is a pizza combining pepperoni, ham, ground beef, mushrooms, olives, pineapple, red onion and oregano. A huge pizza that can contend with Chicago deep dish, the Super Lot Pizza needs extra help to finish.

Taco Bell: The Incredible Hulk and The Superman

The Incredible Hulk saves the day when one serving of guacamole in a burrito is simply not enough. Order it by asking for Taco Bell’s five-layer burrito and substitute the sour cream for a huge serving of guacamole.

Who knew Superman was bigger than the Hulk? Well, at Taco Bell it is. Order it by asking for a double beef burrito and add an additional punch of potatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and tortilla strips to it. This thing is so huge, it’s no wonder Superman is the only one who can finish it.

Chipotle: Quesarito, Burritodilla

The Quesarito is debatably the most infamous secret menu item of all time. It combines the full package of a burrito with an extra exterior tortilla and melted cheese layer of a quesadilla. This is the best of both worlds. Since it is two worlds, it also requires two stomachs. ALERT: never eat alone.

The Burritodilla is the same thing as the Quesarito but on a smaller scale. This is much safer to eat alone.

Starbucks: Tie Dye Drinks, Butterbeer Frappuccino

The Tie Dye drinks are the perfect photo props or Instagram. There are two types, the Pink Purple Drink and the Matcha Pink Drink.

The Pink Purple drink is part strawberry acaí refresher and part passion iced tea. Add coconut milk, soy milk, vanilla syrup and blackberries for the perfect balance.

The Matcha Pink Drink is three-fourths strawberry açaí refresher and one-fourth matcha green tea. Add coconut milk to this for the perfect blend.

For the Harry Potter fiends out there, instead of going to Universal Studios, go to a local Starbucks to satisfy that butterbeer craving. The grande Butterbeer Frappuccino is a créme frappuccino with three pumps of caramel syrup, three pumps of toffee nut syrup and enough caramel drizzle to satisfy Hagrid. Cheers to the muggles!

Torchy’s Tacos: Ace of Spades, Jack of Clubs

While these are only a few options, Torchy’s Tacos has one of the largest secret menus around, along with McDonald’s and Starbucks.

The Ace of Spades taco is spicy. It includes a jalapeño sausage link, grilled brisket, cilantro, green chile queso, sour cream, cotija cheese, Diablo sauce and a fried egg.

Torchy’s loves fried eggs and has included them in their Jack of Clubs taco as well. It also has potatoes, black beans, crispy corn tortilla strips, shredded cheese, cilantro, sour cream and Diablo sauce.
