Taos Co-op

Taos is a unique and affordable student community located right on the Drag!

Taos is a student co-op and is democratically managed by the members who live there. Members pool resources and work together to lower our housing costs and gain more control over our living environment.

The five-story building boasts views of the UT Tower and easy access to restaurants and shops on the Drag. Taos is the closest co-op to UT-Austin, across the street from the northwest corner of campus.

Taos is also within a block of many CapMetro transit lines, including the 1, 3, 30, 481, 642, and 801/803 routes that will connect you to the rest of the city.

Taos is equipped with a computer lab with free printing, a workout room, a game room with a pool table and arcade games, a TV room and a sundeck. Taos offers both single (private) and double (shared) rooms. Most rooms share a bathroom with one neighbor in a suite.

Taos members cook and eat together as part of our community-run meal plan. Meals and a stocked pantry are included in rent, as are internet and all utility bills. All of your essential living costs are covered with one monthly payment of $1,154 (Singles) or $886 (Doubles)!
