The University of Texas has received approval to construct a graduate student housing project at 1900 Comal St., accommodating 576 beds and offering amenities such as entertainment, dining and groceries. This marks the second phase of UT’s expansion of graduate student housing, aiming to provide “high-quality affordable housing” and foster community among graduate students. Scheduled to open in 2027, the new complex will be adjacent to existing and upcoming graduate housing units near UT’s athletic facilities and will include beach volleyball courts.
